Rode into Liberal and found a good cheap motel. I'm now waiting on the only theater in town to open so I can go watch Batman. Its nice to not be riding.

118 miles ridden in 9.3 hours saddle time. I broke 1500 miles today. Additionally, I just scored the only patch of trees in miles for a campsite. Booyah!
111 miles. Its still 94 degrees outside right now. I think I'm going to eat some ice cream and ride some more.
92 miles and still rolling. I feel a 100+ mile day coming on.
Lunch in Laverne with Mark Shepherd. I've been meeting the nicest, most interesting people lately!
30 miles by 9 AM feels good. Second breakfast in Shattuck then onwards to Slapout! (one wonders how that town got its name)
Jimmy dropped me off at the top of Packsaddle hill and I'm heading north as the day breaks. This country is lovely in the early morning.

Vital numbers for the day: 62 ish miles ridden, 1400 mile benchmark reached, and numerous wind turbines sighted.
I'm clean and sleeping in a bed tonight thanks to Jimmy and Candy Howell. Jimmy is driving me and my bike past a dangerous section of road in the morning.
